God came into our world and entered the dominion where we exist and became one of us to reach us. Many ask themselves is God and Jesus the same person?
This along with the fact that to reach us is a marvelous thought, and it's sometimes referred to as the truth of the incarnation.
God took on himself flesh of man.
And they came into our world became one of us to save us.
How do you concentrate the Lord into a baby. You can't wrap your mind around that.
How you can fit all of the Lord into a baby?
Jesus Is The Fullness of God
When Jesus came into our world, the Bible teaches that...
"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."
Think about it another way
In him dwells all the fullness of God, all the fullness of the God dwells in Christ.
Now that's a marvelous thought when you think about it...
...you see Jesus came into our world, to reconcile us:
"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. "
To save us God needed to come into our world and be with us.
First we need to look into why this was necessary:
We are separated from God... because of sin.
"Nehold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies; your tongue mutters wickedness."
In the beginning...
...God didn't run from man he wanted to be with men.
He would walk with man.
But after man disobeyed God, man ran. When we are separated from Him it's usually because we're clinging to sin.
"Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings."
It's not the the Lord doesn't want to be with us.
He's not saying that man has been bad, and he is leaving.
Due to Because of our sin he is forced to separate himself from us.

How Is God And Jesus The Same Person?
The glory of the Lord is so pure and so powerful and so perfect that if we were exposed to his unveiled glory it would consume us.
So to protect us...
...he separated - but still wanted to be with us.
So God developed a unique plan.
If he could become one of man he can do well with them to save them - this was accomplished through his son, Jesus.
You may now be thinking - is Jesus God or son of God?
But if the Lord in his glory would appear to us right now, we couldn't bear it.
So we were restored through the Lord, the son Jesus, who became a man.
Restoration comes through Jesus:
"How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?"
It's really talking about our world..
...the Lord has left his kingdom to come to this world to become one of us to save us.
Because he wanted to be with us with his affection for us.
And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
Those that are separated are brought together by God.
When you're thinking about this I always think about second
2 Corinthians 5:19-20
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
The Lord doesn't give us credit for our sins, because Jesus came to take them. He reconciles the world not impugning their trespasses to them and he's committed to them the word of reconciliation.
Jesus provides us with that proof.
Now have you ever thought at what point did Jesus realize who he was?
Have you ever wondered?
It really began when he was 12 years old, if you are in the gospel of Luke this is the first time this is mentioned:
"And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?
Remember when Jesus' parents took him to the temple?
- He was filled with amazement as he saw the Passover.
- He was a Jewish boy, who was 12, and he would begin attending the feast with his father.
- He was trying to take in the meaning of all this and the Holy Spirit begin to talk to him and say you are the lamb.
And he began to realize what that means and it was a divine revelation that came to him now at that point.
At this point, was Jesus God?
"But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God".
Are Jesus And God The Same Person?
Now Jesus he was either mad at this point, or he was telling the truth.
But he did claim to be more than just a man.
He said my father has been working till now, and I am working, therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him.
Not only because he thought he broke the seventh..
...but that he said that his father was the Lord making himself equal with Him.
Now they thought Jesus was making himself equal with God, but did he correct them?
He allowed them to think that.
Because it was true.
Jesus actually never came out anywhere and said 'I am God'.
He never said it. Period.
Christ only referred to himself as the 'great I am'.
In the old testament...

"The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? What shall I say unto them?"
God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.
God responded by stating that he is the self existent eternal one - that everything else is made out of him.
How often did Jesus used the term I AM to refer to himself?
"I who speak to you am He."
"I am the bread of life".
"You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world."
"Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am."
"I am the light of the world".
"I am the door of the sheep".
"I am the resurrection and the life".
"You call Me Teacher and Lord; and you are right, for so I am".
"I am the way the truth truth and the life".
"I am the true vine".
"I am the Alpha and the Omega,".
"Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last".
"because I said, I am the Son of God?"
(This is as close to Jesus saying he is the son of God)
Jews took up stones again to stone him.
Jesus is saying, I am the father, the one
He's said: We are one...
...I and my father are one.
Don't think so?
The Jews know what he was saying if you doubt it.
They took up stones to stone him..
"Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?".
He did mean what he said.
The Jews answered him, saying..
"The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God".
He did not correct them.
Look at some of the criteria that defines the Lord to see if Jesus meets those criteria - this is important if your trying to figure out: is God and Jesus Christ the same person?

What Defines God in the Bible?
For one thing, only God can forgive sins.
You might offend anyone, and they can say they forgive you but that's different than them forgiving your sins in general.
Only God can truly forgive your record which can only mean...
Agree now that Jesus and God are one?
"I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins."
"When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee."
"But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only?"
If only the Lord can forgive sin, and if Jesus could forgive sins, then Jesus must be God.
In the beginning. He created the heavens and the earth and now Jesus and God the father are one.
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:".
Again we all know in:
"All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made".
"Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him".
The only one who deserves our worship is God is a sin to worship a man or even an angel.
You can read in:
"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy".
Even the angels worship Jesus.
"And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him."
Even the angels saying at the birth of Christ to the shepherds they were worshiping Christ.
This is important:
Why God Is Jesus Summary
Is God And Jesus The Same Person?
- The Bible states you're only to worship God.
- The begotten son is the only time that God was born as a human through Jesus.
- Jesus refers to himself as God 13 times in the Bible.
- If followers of the bible are told to worship Jesus.
- Then Jesus must be God.
- Jesus and God are the same person.
Is the evidence mounting yet?
Reasons In The Bible Why Only God Can Judge
"the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed."
"Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity."
Now what does it say about Jesus?
"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son"
So this Lord that's going to be doing the judging in the last days...
and Jesus is the father judges no one but...
has committed all judgment -- to the son.
This is a topic that reveals itself for many who ask themselves when presented with the question, is Jesus and God the same person?
Christ is the event that transcends every other human birth in history because we're all created by Him.
Here you have the creator, in love, becoming the creation to save the creation.
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last."
The almighty God Jehovah.
Entered into this baby. When we read.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Why is Jesus called the only begotten son, what does that mean?
The only time that God was born as a man.
When did Jesus become the only begotten son of the Lord?
It was when he was born into our world. He was always the son of the Lord, they always had this relationship that you and I can't understand. This is especially important if you're wondering: are Jesus and God the same person?
And the closest terms the Lord can give us for you and I to relate to is the powerful love between a father or a mother and their child.

Why Jesus Is God And The Son Of God
There seems to be authority between God the father, and God the son.
But they're all their all of the Lord in spirit.
The begotten son is the only time that God was born as a human, which was in Jesus. But he was always God.
1 Timothy 3:16
"And without controversy great is the mystery of Godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory".
The Lord was manifest in the flesh, justified in the spirit, lived a righteous life, seen by angels, preached among the gentiles, believed on in the world and received up into glory.
It was God that came into our world.
This is so amazing and you know he did it.
Because he wants us to live and wants to be with us for an eternity - with this in mind it hard to not accept that the Lord and Jesus are not the same.
Are God and Jesus separate?
At the beginning of the Bible it tells how man was separated from Him through sin.
God had a plan - he sent his son.
In the end of the Bible it says: "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us".
We are separated from Him now.
How much does he want to be with us?
He yearns for it so much.
He made a trip to this world. He decided I am going to separate myself from my heavenly father. As a reminder for the Lord's actions we can wear christian jewelry which you can see more at Christian Affection to remind ourselves of his sacrifice for humanity - the angels, glory and his kingdom, to come into this world. This is an important factor now knowing that God and Jesus the same person.
That's what makes the event of his Jesus' birth so unique - he wasn't just a child with a bright future.
To become one of them (humans) to save them. So that they can be back with me. He was with us so we could be with him.
That's the essence of the gospel - the lord loves us so much that he gave that we might have new life.
And he gave the biggest thing anyone could give – their life.
